July is ending, isn't it...sigh

This is kind of embarrassing, but I'm starting to look forward to next year...! While still being an nervous mess, of course. If everything goes well, many things are going to change. I hope I'll enjoy those...!? Well, we don't have a place to live yet, so there's no need to get my hopes up so soon.

- finish learning kanas (katakanas left!!!! and practice to get used to read them!)

Sunday - 05.04.15

The weather was great that day, it was such a nice thing to wake up to! I walked along the lake for a while before going to the con! (and actually had to go back to the flat cause I had forgotten the commissioner's refs COME ON CHISA that was ridiculous)

To summarize the day in two words : I drew. End! Somehow, I got sucked into the world of commissions and spend the entire day on them. Time really flied by, I swear. Also, I kept stealing the scissors (and all kinds of pens and markers) from Alqu....aha...ha;;;;

It was really chilly in the morning! It felt like there was a lot less people than last year, maybe ? It was indeed a bit empty for a sunday though. Sunday was the day Kiwi had to finish her drawing so it was RUSH RUSH RUSSHHHH TIME. (please forget the moment I showed you how book-dumb I was about flags though.) The sunset was beautiful cause the sky stayed clear so I literally pulled her off the chair so that she could see that!! The artist alley has an awesome location when it comes to the view, seriously. Look at them moutains and lake and---

I went around to gave some chocolate to my friends, and met Hitsu and Min again !! (tbh I /talked/ to them the day before and didn't recognize them at first............./hides face in hands) They were so cuteeeee!!!!!!! I really hope they enjoyed their stay in Switzerland !! (unlike JE 2012 where a lot of things went wrong ;_;) Hitsu gave me her Madoka zine after I threw some choco at them and I was asdfjhjsdkf--- ;__; like if it was like that then I should have brought them 10kg of choco oh my god---!!! Same with Ten!!!!! she is adorable and keeps throwing merch at me every time I bring her a little thing.....;____;;; I'm so grateful for everything;;

Oh, when I got back, I made microvable lasagna explode.

....I went to Mcdonalds.

Monday - 06.04.15

Last day and the same feeling that comes back every year! It's almost the end of the con...!! The weather was amazing again!! So it was a wonderful end of convention as well.

I was kind of bummed that I'd messed up an important thing though. The day before, I kind of fell asleep right after eating, so none of my commissions for Monday were finished. I realized I
messed up really badly when I had to apolozige to the commissionners at least 2 or 3 times during the day. Lesson learned for next time! That's why I spent a big part of that day drawing, too.

I dropped by the GSC booth again and met Maritan ! She was as adorable as I thought she'd be! We spoke for a while and then she invited me to take a few pictures outside!! Saber looked awesome next to the lake and in the patch of flowers...! It was sunny, but still chilly. I was impressed cause you could see that Maritan was used to pose figures and everything !! She managed to make Saber stand against a rock without anything else...!! So pro....!!!

Came back to Kiwi's table! She started doing commissions when I stopped mine, and it got kind of funny cause many people came to ask about hers, but it kept happening when she was away from the table!! ww (And then she got the 2nd prize -congrats again!!!! it was well deserved!!!- and we made her work before she even got the time to calm down. weeelppp)

Since I stopped taking commissions, my sample became useless. I didn't like it at all, so I tried putting a price on it on a whim, and it got sold???!!!!?? ???? ?? w-w-what??!! It was surprising but it made me really happy!! It wasn't a portrait and someone still bought it ! I was really stunned there...

The end of the con was approaching and the only thing I wanted was to buy stuff with the money I earned during those 3 days. And it's exactly what I did after excusing myself. I went through the artist alley again and bought so much stuff I had been eyeing...............(shakes empty wallet) Alqu and Kiwi kept saying "Grab whatever you'd like!!! ^o^" and while I was really thankful, I--- COME ON LEMME THROW MY MONEY AT YOUR BEAUTIFUL ART ;_; THEY DESERVE SO MUCH MORE APPRECIATION PLEASE

aAlex and Delphine were people I looked up to since I was 14 or something and I was so glad to meet them!! They were really cool people to talk to! //// as well as many many people of the con!!!!!! 

It was really sad when everyone started packing and left one by one...but after saying goodbye to all those amazing people and procrastinating until the last minute, we went outside and took pictures yaayy!!! Admired the sunset and walked for a bit, too ("Alqu why are you poking that plant ww") ! Then I took the train back home and slept.

Aahhh this con was absolutely awesome,  and I'm already missing everyone and the atmosphere of the con and everything...! It was a very new experience for me to actually do some commissions(?!!!), as I mostly helped with selling before! It was very stressful, but also really exciting! (There was one customer who asked me for tips about chibis and then gave me a drawing the next day....!!! it was so nice from her aaaaaaa---)

Thank you Kiwi, Alqu and Thaïs for those 4 days !!!!!!
(also thanks Kiwi and Alqu for throwing so much merch at me ;___; your guys' art is so amazing please keep it up!!! I had such a good time thanks to you really!!!) ..........I hope I didn't bother you guys too much.................................I really hope so oh my god //cringes hard at self.............

It was written since May, but I didn't get to finish it until now.

Friday - 03.04.15

Thanks to rl friends (Orona and Twili), I got the chance to go by car to the con. We arrived in Montreux around 10am, but I had to drop my suitcase and get the key of the place I was staying at, so I got in a bit later. Actually, I started to panic only 10 minutes after because the door wouldn't open. (In the end, it wasn't me: a key was missing. p l e a s e.)

Got in quickly and went straight to the artist alley! You have to go through the entire con to access that part, and I was quite nervous at the moment (what if everyone just forgot andthinksi'mabotherahhhaaa--), but also really excited !! (It's going to be awesome -hopefully- !!! meeting friends again!!!) And then I found Kiwi and met Alqu (also Thaïs later). Hhnng lovely people.
(Kiwi was still writing her prices and I kept interrupting her oh my g od)

There was a chair for me so I stayed there for the 4 days............(´•▿•) The artists' drawing contest, Arting spirit, had started earlier in the day, but since Kiwi wasn't starting (.......okay it miiight have been my fault as well. m(_ _)m), I scribbleeeed. A loooot. (It was live drawing, and wow, this is actually stressful.) After Thaïs arrived, Kiwi explained to us how her table and everything worked cause we were going to help! We went through all her merch and HNNNG LEMME BUY EVERYTHING PLEASE. I'D HAVE BOUGHT EVERYTHING. (If they had let me throw my money at them uhhh....)

Saw a few rl friends who told me that most of the panels and stuff were full an hour and a half before the starting time. whoops (I think it was the same for the 4 days, that was kind of incredible). Met again with rl friends to eat lunch. They lent me their 3DS so that I could play pokemon! In the evening, the ally got pretty empty around 6 (the con closed at 8), so I went through the rows to pester a few people jk rather speak with them!!

Saturday - 04.04.14





I wonder how I can wake up without problem when I'm at a con, but for the rest of the break, oversleep every day until noon ? Uuuugh.





Anyway, I asked (extremely nervously fsafhjkasdfga IS IT RUDE ?? IT'S RUDE RIGHT??? I'M SORRY) Kiwi if I could try doing commissions and she gave me the ok!! I finished colouring a quick sample while she was working on her drawing and set a price up! (Kiwi built a stand at the speed of the light THAT WAS INCREDIBLE AS WELL) The first people who asked were couples, couples--- and duos. In the end, I accepted a duo but I was so anxious that I gave them a huge discount.........(´•▿• ;;;;)..........(because I was scared of not getting any other commission....) 

 
Well, it was more time-consuming than I thought (mostly because I'm slow though) and I stressed a lot about them !! Sorry to Kiwi, who had to put up with all my whining and worrying ;;;;; Once I got them done, I went to the Goodsmile booth to buy the things I wanted, but the one I really wanted was sold out (pUNCHED MYSELF INTERNALLY for not going earlier) ! We worked that out in the end though!!

No premade dinner that night cause the Polymanga staff had invited everyone to a pizza party. It was really weird though. Like, really, realllyyyyyy weird. And scary. You could see people literally fighting for a slice of pizza when they arrived. Most of us didn't get one so we grabbed anything that was not pizza, aka drinks and...tissues. Well, free drinks still means freeeee. We also managed to kind of venture into a weird place while looking for the pizzas.


Basically, the organization of the thing was so weird. We got two whole pizzas later though, so all's good. (and somehow ended up talking about cockroaches and spiders and cats while eating mmmhh) oh and Erumin wore her Junko cosplay that day and she was reallyyy cute!!!!

Stayed up late to finish a commission! and then dropped dead zzzzzZZ

bitter step

Recording today's wins (because they all happened in the span of a few hours and wow).

- Went to visit 2 apartments with friends. Did some research right after I came home !
(You know, I'd usually just flop into bed and lie there because TOO MUCH SOCIAL INTERACTION)

- Missed a professional call, but I called back after an hour.
(Again, I'd probably just........stress and panic about it and wait for the other party to call again)

- Applied for a job. I only had to send my resume by email, but still.
(I'm always nervous about the job offers I see ?? Because I usually don't have all the qualifications ?? 
or I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to do the job well ?? So I often end up not applying and then whine in a corner.....)

- Finished another tradi' drawing !! 
My goal is to get twelve of them done by the end of July or something (now : 4/12)

- Announced the results of my giveaway/raffle/lottery/whatever.
Yes, I was nervous about updating my page.

Next goal : 
- Send by mail my certificate to the university (it's more complicated than that ugh)
